Lại một lần nữa, Jenny Han khiến con tim mình thổn thức khi tạo nên những khung cảnh lãng mạn trong tập truyện này. Ngoài cảnh Peter bày trò để ngỏ lời mời Lara Jean làm bạn prom tại lễ hội cuối cấp, lên kế hoạch tổ chức tiệc mừng sinh nhật 18 tuổi cho Lara Jean thì mình thích nhất là những cảnh khi Peter chạy đi tìm quán bánh mà Lara Jean vu vơ nói để mua cho cô chiếc bánh yêu thích dù không biết đường, nằng nặc đòi tổ chức tiệc độc thân cho bố của Lara Jean, nhất định đưa Lara Jean về nhà dù cậu còn đang say sưa với buổi tiệc, không cho Lara Jean uống đồ uống có cồn, hay chiều theo các ý nghĩ quái quỷ của Kitty-em gái Lara Jeans. Những hành động tuy nhỏ nhặt nhưng lại nói lên rằng Peter dành tình cảm cho Lara Jean rất nhiều. Cậu ấy còn nói với Lara Jean rằng: “Tớ sẽ không bao giờ có thể yêu ai như yêu cậu”. Trời ơiiiiiiii
Thực sự thì mình đã over teen n năm rồi nhưng tâm hồn mỏng manh yếu đuối này vẫn tan chảy khi đọc được những câu nói đó. Khi đọc xong cuốn sách, mình chỉ muốn quay về thời cấp 3, thời đại học để “làm lại cuộc đời”. Mình đã uổng phí những năm tháng thanh xuân tươi đẹp nhất rồi huhu =)))
Vẫn là những dòng văn gần gũi, thân thuộc và Jenny Han đã tạo nên một bộ truyện đầy màu sắc của mùa hè, của tuổi trẻ dám yêu, dám đánh đổi. Tuy sự thay đổi cũng chưa có gì quá to tát nhưng đối với độ tuổi teen, đó cả là một quá trình lớn lên và trưởng thành. “To all the boys I’ve loved before” đem đến cho người đọc cảm giác như được sống lại “tuổi dậy thì” một lần nữa, được yêu, được hờn dỗi, được vui, được buồn, được hết mình vì tuổi trẻ.
Mình vẫn recommend bộ truyện này cho những ai thích dòng chuyện về teen Mỹ, hay những người muốn “trẻ hóa tâm hồn”.

I believe Always and Forever, Lara Jean is the most mature and well-developed of the TATBILB series. It successfully tackles real-teen issues while remaining entertaining and loveable.
As always, my favorite bits of these books are the family dynamics. In addition to the ever-wonderful sister dynamics, I enjoyed a fresh bit of conflict between such a close-knit family. It was well-written and expertly executed. Also, I REALLY enjoyed seeing Kitty grow into her own person – her development was something I didn’t realize I desired until it was included.
I also very much enjoyed the college talk in this book. For some reason, I feel many YA novels either take place before college is a concern, or else the conversation is omitted for “more entertaining plot points.” I found Lara Jean’s struggle with debating between colleges, coping with rejection, and finding the balance between her life at home and her life away at college to be one of the best portrayals of this time in a teen’s life that I’ve ever read. Though I never personally experienced any large bumps in my pre-college journey or can relate to the difficulty in deciding to go away for school, I feel this book is genuine and authentic in expressing an obstacle many high school students face.
Additionally, I was so happy the relationship troubles of book 1 and 2 appeared to be absent, leaving room for more mature, realistic dating troubles to ensue. This book adds a layer of maturity the story, especially regarding relationships. I did not feel as frustrated with the romance as I have in the previous books because the characters were dealing with realistic and understandable conflicts and resolved them in satisfying ways.
I don’t have many critiques for this novel. I will say, I found the entire book predictable, there isn’t a surprise or a twist that I did not guess beforehand, but that did not take away from my enjoyment of the story. I’ve really enjoyed diving back into the life of Lara Jean and would definitely recommend this series to my followers (especially the audiobooks!)
